Seven persons – Tarun, Uday, Vinod, Rakesh, Ram, Yogesh & Jafer go to buy seven different kinds of vegetables like spinach, tomato, ladyfingers, gourd, jackfruit, pumpkin & bitter gourd during four days of a week – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday, but not necessarily in the same order. At least one or maximum two persons in a day buy the vegetables.

Tarun buys jackfruit. Pumpkin is bought on Sunday. Spinach & ladyfingers are bought on the same day. Vinod goes to the market on Thursday to buy vegetables. Jafer does not buy pumpkin. Uday goes to the market on Thursday to buy ladyfingers. Ram & Uday do not buy jackfruit. Yogesh buys bitter gourd. Rakesh goes to buy tomatoes on Sunday.
